JPC held a discussion with Justice DN Patel today in an election held in a country

The Joint Congress Committee of the Constitution (Amendment 129) Bill of 2024, the Joint Territorial Law (Amendment) Bill, will be held in the annex to the Parliament on Tuesday.

The committee will interact with two respected guests. First, they will meet with former Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, Justice DN Patel, who is currently the chairman of the Telecommunications Dispute Settlement and Appeals Tribunal (TDSAT).

After that, they will have a discussion with India’s Attorney General R. Venkataramani.
The committee’s next working hours are scheduled for April 2, and the committee will interact with two other prominent figures.

Former Supreme Court Justice Judge Hemant Gupta will share his insights and will then discuss with Judge BS Chauhan, former judge of the Supreme Court of India and chairman of the Law Committee of India No. 21.


The seats are part of the Commission’s review of both bills, which aims to introduce the constitution and laws governing the territory of the Union. He added: “After some corrections, a ‘one country, one election’ website will be launched where stakeholders and others can share their opinions.”

The “One Country, One Election” Constitutional Amendment, which JPC is currently reviewing, proposes to align the election cycles of Lok Sabha and the state legislature.
