BJP State Secretary Arvind Menon insists that the WAQF (Amendment) should not be interpreted as a dispute between Hindus and Muslims in 2025, aiming to make much needed transparency in the management of WAQF Properties.

Mr Menon said in an awareness plan on the bill organized here by the BJP on Friday that amendments are needed to better protect WAQF properties, otherwise 3% of minority communities abused them.

The vast majority of Muslims are watching their precious possessions helplessly. However, as expected, the opposition deliberately attributed it to the BJP. The NDA government led by the BJP has taken bold steps to carry out the necessary amendments and the results will be seen earlier than they are.

BJP Governor Daggubati Purandeswari clarified that the Supreme Court ordered the amendment not to apply to recognized WAQF property and that existing laws have not been repealed.

She refuted the claim that the amendment was intended to handle WAQF board affairs and insisted that the central government had absolutely no role in the management of WAQF property.

BJP minority President Moorcha SK. Baji, the internal head of the party media, Paturi Nagabhushanam, state official spokesman Valluru Jayaprakash and others were present.
