Jyoti Malhotra, a resident of Hisar Haryana, was arrested for allegedly sharing sensitive information and having continuous contact with Pakistanis.

According to the Chief of Police (SP) Hisar Principal Shashank Kumar Sawan, Malhotra developed as an asset and has maintained contact with other YouTube influencers and Pakistani nationals.

Sonan said: “She keeps in touch with other YouTube influencers, who are also in touch with Pakistan Information Officers (PIOS). She has been to Pakistan as if she was on a sponsored trip.
Jyoti Malhotra was questioned for allegedly passing information to Pakistan. She allegedly met Ahsan-ur-Rahim, a Pakistani officer in Delhi, and went to Pakistan twice and shared sensitive information.

Hisar DSP Kamaljeet said police had taken the woman to five days of remand. She has been booked under the official secret bill and related parts of BN.

DSP said police received “something suspicious” from her cell phone and laptop. Yesterday, based on our input, we arrested Haris Kumar’s daughter Jyoti, under the official secret law and BNS 152. We received something suspicious. We have recovered her for five days after we restored her cell phone and laptop. Kamaljeet said in the preliminary investigation, the woman told police that she went to Delhi’s high commissioner to apply for a visa in 2023 and met a man named Ahsan-ur-Rahim, alias Danish.

She also told police that after exchanging the numbers, she began talking to Ahsan-ur-Rahim and went to Pakistan twice. Officials said the woman also told the investigation that Ahsan-ur-Rahim arranged her accommodation and travel and arranged a meeting with Pakistan’s security and intelligence agencies.

Haris Malhotra, the father of the woman arrested by Haryana police on spy charges, said his daughter made YouTube videos and visited Pakistan. He asked to return to the phone number adopted by the police.

He said police first came to their house on Thursday. He said police had taken bank documents, phone number, laptop and passport. He said his daughter had visited Delhi and had been in Hisar for the past four or five days.

“She made YouTube videos. She has been to Pakistan and elsewhere,” Haris Malhotra told ANI.

When asked how many times she visited Pakistan, Malhotra said he didn’t know.

He said she went to Pakistan after obtaining the necessary permission.

He said: “If she had some friends there, can’t she call them? I didn’t ask, but give us a call. A case has been registered with us.”
