More than 1,000 bookings for drunk driving in Hyderabad, 41 people were sent to prison

Hyderabad police found more than 300 blood alcohol content (BAC) in seven people during a week-long drive.

The 300+ BAC level is considered so high that an individual loses consciousness.

The seven men were one of the 1,029 motorists who drove under the influence of alcohol in the checks made from March 29 to April 4.

The drive also resulted in 41 people being convicted and sent to jail.

According to official data, two-wheeler riders accounted for the majority of cases and recorded 886 violations. Next are 102 cases involving four-wheeled motorcycles, 37 tricycles and 4 heavy-duty vehicles.

Interestingly, only four of the booked people were women, while the remaining 1,025 were men.

A total of 457 people recorded blood alcohol content (BAC) levels in the 51-100 mg/dl BAC range. There were 217 cases in the range of 101-150 and 203 cases in the range of 30-50. In 95 cases (151-200 mg/dL), 36 cases (201-250), and 14 cases (251-300), severe poisoning levels were found, and 7 patients were found, with BAC levels exceeding 300 mg/dl.

The most criminals fell within the age group between 21 and 30, resulting in 419 cases. Brackets between 31 and 40 years old followed by 305 cases. Among the 51 to 60 years old, the number of cases among those aged 41 to 50 is 180. A total of 28 offenders were between the ages of 18 and 20, involving cases over the age of 61. It is worth noting that there are no criminals under the age of 18.
