“Kallakurichi’s new collector will open in September”

Public Works Minister Ev Velu on Saturday inspected the ongoing construction of the Veeracholapuram complex nearby.

He said the construction cost of the building was Rs 13.941 crore and was set to be established in September this year.

The 35.18-acre, eight-story collector complex will form at least 40 sectors, including income, rural development, animal husbandry, agriculture, social welfare, labor, tourism, and Hindu religious and charitable donations.

The ground floor of the complex will have public facilities such as banks, post offices, appeals offices and other touts for different ones.

The complex will also feature separate cabins for officials from various departments, LED lights equipped with conference rooms and CCTV cameras. The Collector’s Office will be on the third floor.

He added that the project is developing rapidly and measures are underway to complete the work by September. Regional collector Ms. Prasanth and senior officials were present.
