Solvecon 2025 brings together the voices, actions and influences of youth

Bangalore Creative Circus witnessed a day of collaboration, gaming and civic innovation for Solvecon 2025, hosted by Harvest Welfare (a social enterprise that works with young people), convening more than 300 energetic youths. Solvecon, the sixth edition, saw young people participate in a variety of activities from hands-on games to reflection and problem solving.

“No Telephone” Day opened with the high-energy “Mela”, with 14 influential organizations showing playful, hands-on experiences about climate action, civic participation, social justice and local governance. Young people engage in interactive games, simulations and storytelling, which triggers people’s awareness and empathy. Participated organizations include Mercy Mission, Terrum, Jhatkaa, Quest Alliance, Bannada Dara, Avarna, Maitri Arha Foundation, Defy Project, Selco Foundation, Selco Foundation, Momentum Shifts shifts and Dream Ane Dream.

At the heart of Solvecon are the voices of Kuppendra S, Aakash Kudla, Aishwarya Selvam and Shiva Kumar, who turned local challenges into bold moves.

Kuppendra.s from Raichur solves plastic waste, advocates for immigrant workers, and interacts directly with policy makers.

Aakash Kudla, founder of Avarana, upgrades glass rubbish into home decor. His work has reached over 50 houses and saved 860 kilograms of waste.

Aishwarya Selvam, from Bangalore, led a massive cleanup of drives that unite students, citizens and BBMP workers to reclaim public places.

Shiva Kumar, from Bangalore, is committed to empowering the LGBTQ+ community through legal aid and inclusive entrepreneurship.

Interactive solver jam

Solvecon’s “solver” led by expert moderators provides hands-on learning, covering topics such as ecological anxiety, historical simulation, data-driven change, system thinking, and grassroots marketing. These labs are composed of Namya Sinha, Abhijit Giridhar, Arpit Arora, Apoorv Anand, Gauthamraj Elango, Subhani Nadaf and Praveen Kasmas, Blended Play, Empathy, Compassion, Compassion, and Real-world Problem Solutions to help participants think critically and act critically.

Since its inception in 2024, Solvecon has been engaged to the cities of Jalandhar, Mysore, Nanded, Ludhiana and Bengaluru.

“Solvecon is a glimpse of the future we are building with young people,” said Kuldeep Dantewadia, founder of REAP BEANTY. He added: “Our mission through Solvecon is not to teach institutions, but to unlock it.”

Since its inception in 2024, Solvecon has been engaged to more than 800 young people in cities such as Jalandhar, Mysore, Nanded, Ludhiana and Bengaluru.
