Karachi bakery store display three colors

Hyderabad: As India attacks terror camps in Pakistan, the careful management of Karachi bakeries named after Pakistan City has put Indian flags on their Moazzam Jahi Market and Begumpet. Whenever tensions between India and Pakistan increase, the bakery will tow under its name.

“Senior officials ordered us to be cautious. As a precaution, we deployed staff near the bakery,” said Ramgopalpet inspector Narsing Rao. Karachi Bakery has about 20 branches in the city, all of which are deployed with police officers to monitor the situation.

The inspector also added that they recommended lifting the Indian flag and showing support to the Sindoor operation, which almost all branches complied.

A staff member of the Karachi bakery said in a speech by Deccan Chronicle: “We do put Indian tri-color people on the name board of the store, and we also have a police officer in the store. Because of this incident in our branches, the business has not been affected.”

In Visakhapatnam, members of Jana Jagarana Samithi (JJS) protested at the Karachi bakery in Venkojipalem on Tuesday, demanding that the bakery change its name. Protesters also asked the center to step in whether the name had not changed.

During the protests, people on social media supported Karachi bakery. One user @anuswaram posted on X: “They can protest everything they want. The Karachi bakery is an integral part of Hyderabad and it will keep it that way.”
