Union labor and employment, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises Shobha Karandlaje calls on female entrepreneurs and female entrepreneurs in the SC/ST community to make a 3% supply of spare parts in the Union Government’s Public Sector Enterprise (PSU).
Speaking at the four-day IMEX-HUBBALLI (Industrial Manufacturing Exhibition) organized by the North Karnataka Small Industry Association (NKSSIA) in Hubbali, Ms. Karandlaje said that PSUS said PSUS purchased 25% of spare parts from 25% of spare parts from Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Women’s Union and provided 3% of females and provided 3% of reserves.
But she noted that PSU did not get spare parts for female entrepreneurs from expected levels. “As of now, female entrepreneurs have only 1.5% of their demands provided. They should pay attention to this and focus on the production of high-quality products and spare parts needed by major industries,” she said.

The minister called on North Karnataka entrepreneurs and industrialists to register their industry on the Government E-market (GEM) portal as this would allow PSU to reduce its purchases with their respective industries.
Ms. Karandlaje highlighted several measures the Centre supports the MSME sector and said that the contribution to 30% of GDP comes from the industry.
NKSSIA Girish Nalavadi President stressed the need to establish major industries in North Karnataka to promote the development of the MSME sector in the region. He also urged the government to provide appropriate land for industrial exhibitions.
The union’s Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Pralhad Joshi, opened the ceremony at the Industrial Fair, and over the past 11 years, the center has taken several measures to promote the development of trade, commerce and the industry. He said that due to these measures, India has become the fourth largest economy in the world.
Mr Josh said that in the past decade, foreign direct investment has occurred $667 billion. “Quality highways are laid across the country and there is enough power production. All the infrastructure needed for industrial development is being provided,” he said.
A total of 272 stalls were established in the exhibition, which comes from industries in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
