Teachers strongly oppose the Minority Bureau’s appointment of guest teachers for the 2025-26 school year through the Statewide General Entrance Examination (CET) to vacancies in schools within its jurisdiction, including Morarji Desai Residence School and Maulana Azad School. The command for this effect was passed on Friday, May 9.

Teachers believe that such CET is not required for appointing guest teachers in the school education department, technical education department, university education department and other departments (including universities).

Earlier, the bureau had been appointed by the responsible appointment of visiting teachers as principals of various schools or district officials at the district level. They have invited teachers to apply and recruited guest teachers based on demonstrations, strengths and qualifications. In addition, teachers recruited in the past few years have been re-appointed.

However, this year, it decided to conduct CET in the state on June 1, 2025.

The exam will be held at a rate of 100 points and will be printed in Kannada and English. OMR paper will be provided to write the answer. The obligation to raise questions will be raised by Kannada, mandatory English, child development and pedagogy, and the Ministry of Minority Welfare Programs and Programs.

It has been decided to publish a list of candidates’ strengths by combining the average scores obtained in CET, with 20% scores at graduation and 20% bed. And another 20% score was obtained after the study.

Teacher’s objection

“For the past five years, I have been working as a guest teacher at a residential school in the department. Every year, we recruit as a guest teacher based on demonstrations and merit. When all other departments, including the school education department, are selecting guest teachers through performance and qualifications, only a few departments can take the entrance exam, which is incorrect.”

“Our department pays guest teachers a monthly payment of Rs 10,500 per month. However, guests are unwilling to come to receive such a meager salary. It is impossible to appoint the required guest teachers every year. In addition, if other teachers are transferred to alternative teachers, they will be heard immediately in such a situation. We will have to. We will appoint. Reconsider CET.” said the principal of a Maulana Azad school in Bangalore.

Bureau officials have not commented despite repeated attempts to contact them.
