Kavya Maran takes this important step after BCCI suspends IPL 2025, and SRH owners decide…

SRH boss Kavya Maran made a major decision after BCCI suspended IPL 2025 after escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. This was what she decided.
After BCCI paused IPL 2025 for a week, Kavya Maran’s Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Sanjiv Goenka’s Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) confirmed that they are in the ticket refund process for the matchup against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers (Royal Chieldererruururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururururur
However, the two conflicts will not go as planned due to cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan, as the match is suspended for seven days.
“Given the current situation, #Tataipl2025 has been suspended for immediate effect. Air ticket refund details will be communicated soon,” SRH said on its ‘X’ account.
Meanwhile, LSG plans to host a second-place RCB in the match at the BRSABV EKANA Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday night, while SRH will host a sixth-place SRH in the Clash at Rajiv Gandhi International International Stadium on Saturday.
LSG wrote on its official social media handle: “Tonight’s match at Brsabv Ekana Cricket Stadium has been cancelled. Details on ticket refunds will follow.”
Behind the heightened cross-border tensions Thursday night, the decision to stop the IPL 2025 weekly has resulted in power outages in Jamu, Udhampl and Patnakot, air strikes in Pakistan and drones taking over the sky.
This led to a match between the Punjab King and the Delhi Capital, which was about 80 km from Patankot at Dharam Sala, completing only 10.1 points in the first inning. With the shutdown of airports in Dharamshala and other North Indian cities, it presents a logistical challenge for BCCI to bring all stakeholders out of the mountains safely.
As a result, the players and support staff of PBK and DC, as well as match officials, commentators, broadcasters and other key personnel related to the IPL were evacuated from Dharamshala by bus, taking them to Friday morning to Jalandhar, where a special train was organized by the championship to take them to New Delhi.
So far, IPL has completed 58 games in 2025, and 12 games can still be played in the league stage, followed by the playoffs.
