Kerala civil engineer arrested for selling hydroponic Ganja in Bangalore

Anti-drug forces from the central crime department arrested a 25-year-old civil engineer who reportedly recovered 3.5 kilograms of hydroponic Ganja worth Rs 450 crore from him.

The defendant, who was reportedly identified as Jiju Prasad, was caught while delivering drugs in an electronic city. The defendant is working in a private company and lives in an apartment in Boma Sandra. The defendant told police that he was purchasing drugs from his contacts, which are currently running away.

The defendant had a large number of clients, and he added it to the WhatsApp Group and received the order. He once provided drugs through the “descending position” method, where he used to keep drugs in an isolated public place and share their location with customers on WhatsApp and then pay online. Titration location methods are the most common method used by hawkers to avoid inappropriate attention from police. The defendant used it to sell each gram of hydroponic Ganja for Rs 12,000. He would carry drugs full of plastic covers and bring them to his backpack. Police said the client list is huge, consisting mainly of IT staff living in electronic city and near Boma Sandra. Police are now searching for Samuel, the source of drugs in Kerala. Police are also exploring the Kerala connections in drugs as many hawkers operate between Kerala and Karnataka. In an unrelated case, a group of police officers at Arekod Station in Malapuram District, Kerala raided an apartment and arrested Ugandan nationals through local vendors operating in Bangalore last week to pedd MDMA. The 30-year-old defendant, Uganda State, was arrested from Electronic City. Two local vendors were arrested earlier last week after the raid, who revealed the source of the drugs. With the increase in interstate drug racquets, Kerala police have added safety and increased inspections at the entrance and exit points.

In another case, police arrested a Nigerian national who reportedly recovered a kilogram of MDMA crystal from him and would seize narcotics totaling Rs 650 crore last week. CCB officials raided a house in Begur and arrested the defendant, identified as 44-year-old Christian S., touted the MDMA. The defendant came to India during his visit visa in 2012 and extended the sale of drugs. Officials booked him in the NDPS case and reminded Fro officials to initiate his deportation process.
