After the landmark Supreme Court decision, it is believed that Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi’s bill has been continually approved, and Kerala will seek similar relief to the Supreme Court next month.
Last week, the Supreme Court ruled that Mr Ravi had long refused to agree to the bill passed by the Tamil Nadu Parliament was “illegal” and “legal error”.

Kerala had earlier taken similar actions with former Governor Arif Mohammed Khan to seek help from the top courts. It also targets the court action against President Droupadi Murmu withholding several bills.
Kerala will argue that all lawsuits with the President and her compliance with the bill that she complies with the consent have been deemed to be passed since the governor sat on them and mentioned the president’s actions.

The bills the president insists on agreeing include the University Law (Amendment) Act, 2021; University Law (Amendment 2) Act, 2021; Kerala Cooperatives (Amendment) Act, 2022; and the University Law (Amendment 3) 2022, which was submitted to her by the Governor.
The state will argue that the principles proposed by the Supreme Court in the Tamil Nadu case should apply equally to Kerala cases and that the bill should be agreed upon on the date of introduction to the governor.
The state will also emphasize the fact that the president has no specified reasons for the withholding of the bill. The Supreme Court noted that legal experts have made it clear that the president will be asked to designate clear, sufficiently detailed reasons while rejecting the bill.

The Supreme Court order sets a time frame for the president and governor to take action in the bill passed in the Tamil Nadu case, which is a shooting for the Kerala government’s arm. Kerala will argue that applying the guidelines raised by the Supreme Court in the Tamil Nadu case to its own grievances would show that Mr Khan’s actions were also legally terrible and therefore likely to be revoked, the source said.
In addition, it will be noted that Mr. Khan has transferred three bills to the President, who initially enacted as an ordinance.
