Kerala WAQF Board of Directors opposes the WAQF Amendment in the Supreme Court of the State Government. Haven’t called yet

The Kerala WAQF Board, which strongly opposes the WAQF Act amendment, will oppose the legislation known to the Supreme Court, and the Kerala government has not yet made a call on politically sensitive issues.
The Supreme Court proposed in an interim order of April 17 that “India, state government and WAQF boards can submit preliminary replies/responses to written petitions within seven days.” The interim order is a series of petitions submitted by various organizations, state governments and political parties that oppose and support the amendments adopted by the coalition government. The reply will have to be submitted by April 24. The court will file a case again on May 5.
Although Kerala was one of the first states to criticize the proposed amendment and unanimously pass parliamentary resolutions, urging the coalition government to abandon the amendment, it did not relocate itself to the Supreme Court or bring it to the Supreme Court in petitions filed by others.
The WAQF Board organized a one-day summary of Muslim religious leaders, politicians and representatives of various organizations to consolidate their position on the proposed amendment and to oppose its members of the parliamentary committee in Bangalore. The Board also submitted a written representation to the Committee.
The Communist Party of India (Marxism) [CPI(M)] Congress calls legislation a ruling coalition attempt to target and alienate Muslims. The Indian Union Muslim League took a step forward and challenged the Supreme Court amendment.
Protest in Munambam
The WAQF Amendment Act protests with the state residents and is led by the church organization. The BJP has released a campaign that will address land problems faced by more than 600 families, most of whom belong to Latin Catholic communities.
Legal information states that the Supreme Court offers a rare opportunity for all stakeholders, despite the fact that the state and board of directors have to make comments.
Kerala WAQF Board Chairman MK Sakeer said the agency will file a statement to the Supreme Court on Monday. He said the board had made a statement detailing its position on the issue, which would be raised.
WAQF Minister V. Abdurahiman said the state government will investigate the court order and stand.
