Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam police arrested another key suspect in an ongoing investigation into a complex crime network designed to target numerous high-profile people in the port city.
Police arrested Polamarasetti Ratna Raju, CEO of Global ITC, described as a key mastermind in the airport area’s crime network. Investigators have tracked down financial transactions between Ratna Raju and the gang’s so-called leader, Joy Jamima, who has been arrested.
According to police, the gang has developed a complex plan to target men’s influence. The victims were allegedly taken with drugs, filmed in compromises, and then ransomware for a lot of money. Those who refuse to pay for the threat of escalation include forced divorce lawsuits, forced marriages, robbery of valuables and, in some cases, physical violence or attempted murder.
The investigation has resulted in the detention of several defendants, including Bachu Venu Bhaskar Reddy and Avinash Benjamin, who have been jailed in Visakhapatnam Central Prison in addition to Joy Jamima and Ratna Raju.
