Mallikarjun Kharge, chairman of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), will be here on Monday at the six-foot statue of Buddha (five types of metals) and another four-foot statue made of stone.
Rahul Yuvaka Sangha consultant Hanumanth Bodankar said at a press conference held on Saturday that Satyasheela Mahatheory of Akola, Bhikkhuni Sumana Aryasheela Mahatheory of Kalaburagi, Bhikkhuni Sanghuni Sanghamit of Kalaburagi, Bhikkhuni Sanghuni Sanghamit of Kalaburagi, Bhikkhuni Sheelarakshit of Wamshi will attend on this occasion.
Mr Bodankar said Basava Nagar was of great significance to Mr Kharge because the experienced leader once lived in this area and began his political career from this area. He added that both statues of Buddha were donated by Mr. Hager himself.
