Kila organizes a simulation exercise in Idukki

The Kerala Local Government Institute (KILA) conducted a simulation exercise organized in three centres in the town of Chelachuvadu near Idukki Cheruthoni. According to officials, the simulation exercise was organized in partnership with Fire and Rescue Services, Police, Regional Disaster Management Agency (DDMA), local self-service government, health department and Kerala National Electricity Commission (KSEB).
Defensive training for 11 Panchayats was held in Idukki, such as Vannappuram, Velliyamattom, Karimannoor, Udumbannoor, Alakkode, Kudayathoor, Arakkulam, Vathikkudy, Vathikkudy, Mariyapuram, Mariyapuram, Vazhththope and Idukki-Ki-hyhthope as well
The gathering point for the simulation exercise is located at the site of the Chelachuvadu bus station, and the tragedy takes place in the area of ​​the Chelachuvadu library hall, and the shelter was set up in Churuli St Thomas Parish Hall. Rescue operations, mainly treating and transferring injured people to hospitals is part of the simulation exercise.
After the simulation exercise, a public meeting was held at Churuli St Thomas Parish Hall. Kanjikkuzhi Panchayat President Vakkachan Vayalil chaired the public meeting. Idukki Tehsildar Ram Benoy chaired the meeting.
According to officials, the simulation exercise tested emergency preparedness and responses from hospitals, schools, government offices, and more.
According to officials, the civil defense simulation exercise was held at five centres in Idukki. The simulation exercise was carried out in accordance with the instructions of the central government.
