Kishan thanks NH for connecting 32 district centers

HyderabadNational BJP Chief Minister and Trade Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy said that in 33 Telangana areas, 32 are connected to the national highway, thanks to the Narendra Modi-LED government's focus on infrastructure development. The total length of national highways in the state doubled from 2500 kilometers in 2014 to the current 5200 kilometers.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Kishan Reddy said the center has spent Rs 1,254,85 crore on the state’s national highways in the past decade. Connecting Telangana to several major corridors in the neighboring states has undergone major upgrades.
He said union minister Nitin Gadkari plans to lay the foundation on May 5 and open 26 projects on May 5. The total length of these projects is 167 km and the cost is Rs 54.16 crore. Of these, 14 projects covering 138 kilometers have been completed, with a cost of Rs 45,900 crore. The foundation’s stone will be used for new road works worth Rs 8.26 crore.
However, Kishan Reddy criticized the state for delays in land acquisition, saying it was working on multiple projects. He urged the country to speed up the process, citing the national importance of infrastructure development.
Regarding the question of caste investigation, Kishan Reddy accused the Congressional government of conducting a “same name” caste investigation of political interests and incorporating Muslims into the backward class. “This is unconstitutional and unjust to the truly backward classes,” he said.
Meanwhile, BJP workers led by Party Vice President NVSS Prabhakar held a rally to demand the completion of the land acquisition of the Uppal elevated corridor project ahead of schedule. Prabhakar said the project Narendra Modi approved Rs 6 billion, trapped for six years due to the indifference of the previous BRS government. He claimed that payments for pipelines, wires and land compensation were delayed due to mismanagement.
He also accused former city minister KT Rama Rao of uncooperation and administrative indifference, which he said had stalled the completion of the main corridor, despite the timely support from the coalition government.
