“You should never expect it, right?” Lindbrad said. “But it was obviously done in a few starts. It’s a little crazy.”

Lindblad played a group before Iwai, ending with a score of 21 with 68 below 68. The 25-year-old former LSU star, from Sweden, took the last of her six birdies in 11-11 shots and ruled out the last seven holes. She has two first nine bogeys.

“I think I could have made more birdies at the back nine, but nothing really wants to fall off. I think I just imagined that I can’t see you under 5 or under 5. Just staying in that moment and showing no emotion. But sometimes it’s hard to show any emotion.”

Iwai followed the third round with 64, with 69 strokes short.

“I have confidence, yes, but I lost this week,” Evey said. “But I have a lot of confidence.

The 22-year-old Japanese player’s twin sister, Chisato, tied for 11th place after being under 68. The sisters competed with each other on Saturday.

Iwai even pulled a 16-pole bird on 21-year-old Lindblad. After her drive left and bounced twice on the cart path, Iwai hit the green front edge in a tree, pushing the 75-foot eagle to an inch.

On the 18th hole of the 4th pole 18, Iwai drove the bunker to the right, heading towards the rough fortress, and then hit the 9 iron of 150, bounced up near the flag and bounced off the rear edge.

“Maybe I have adrenaline,” Evey said. “But I don’t like shortness.”

She lay down from the rough lies, downhill chips through the holes, missing a comeback.

“That was a tough putter,” she said.

Lindblad took a break from 13th Park Score when her drive hit a tree on the left and bounced into the fairway. She removed the holes to maintain the two-stroke lead.

Lindbrad said: “I don’t know the guy from that camera, but he thought, ‘There’s a little squirrel out there who is nice to you and hit it in the fairway.”

Lauren Coughlin (70), Esther Henseleit (64), Miyu Yamashita (66) tied for third place in 19th. NASA HATAOKA is under 63 years old.

Thanks to the renovation of Wilshire, the competition was the last game of the Tour’s West Coast swing. It will return to Wilhelm next season.

Lindblad also shot 68 from the field in the first and second rounds, scoring 63 on Friday.

“I feel like I’ve played very aggressively all week,” Lindbrad said. “I think if we try to be too defensive, it hurts me. It feels like we stick to the same game plan as we did the previous three days and it turns out it’s really good.”
