KL Rahul’s first reaction after the handshake incident with Sanjiv Goenka after the game win

Rahul scored 57 runs in an unbeaten inning, where he hit six games to finish the game. During the post-match handshake, there seemed to be tension between him and Ghoenka. Rahul later addressed his LSG followers on social media.

KL Rahul demonstrated his excellent batting skills to lead the Delhi Capitals in Tuesday’s IPL 2025 match, convincingly defeating his former team, The Lucknow Super Giants, at eight tickets. Rahul’s half-century is undefeated, including three three quarters, while the six-century sight is a sight worth seeing. LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka watched from the stands as Rahul returned to his old stampede after being released by the team last year.

After a challenging season in 2024, LSG ranked seventh in the IPL playoffs for the first time in three years, tensions between Rahul and Goenka reached a slump. Despite leading the team for three seasons and qualifying for two playoffs in his game, Rahul was released ahead of the IPL Mega auction.

Rahul’s unbeaten 57 hit 42 defeated the victory, defeating six midwickets, showing his abilities as a bat. A brief encounter with Ghoenka during the post-match handshake hints at the basic tension between the two. Rahul then went to social media to speak to his LSG followers.

Rahul shared his outstanding scene photos against LSG and used a post that “Always happy to go back to Lucknow”. An image in the carousel captures his celebration by pointing his name behind the DC jersey.

After leaving LSG last year, Rahul hints at the discord in the team’s locker room.

“I want to start fresh, I want to explore my own options, I want to play some places where I can find some freedom, where the atmosphere of the team may get lighter. Sometimes you need to walk away and find something that is good for you,” Rahul told Star Sports in November last year.
