Hyderabad: R. Krishnaiahr, Chairman of the BJP MP and BC Welfare Association. Krishnaiah asked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday to convene a full-party meeting to discuss the effective implementation of the Retreat Caste Bill passed by the General Assembly earlier this month.
Krishnaiah said the constitution allows state governments to implement bookings in local institutional polls. Krishnaiah said: “The State Council has also passed a bill in this regard.
“To implement the new Education and Employment Act, constitutional amendments are required. The state government can review how Bihar and Tamil Nadu governments have taken action in the past to implement increased reservations to BC,” he said.
