KTR SLAMS Discrimination against Telangana

Hyderabad: BRS Working President and MLA KT Rama Rao on Thursday accused the center of distinguishing Telangana since 2014. Citing Dr. Br Br Ambedkar’s vision, he asserted: “India is an alliance of nations. There is no state, no center, which is why NT Rama Rao said the center is secondary.”

BRS leaders condemned the Center’s conditional funding approach, saying that putting financial aid on state government compliance is contrary to the spirit of the Constitution. He also questioned the silence of the Congress-led Tlangana government, saying: “Even with eight MPs and eight BJP members, Telangana got nothing in the league’s budget. The term “Telangana” didn’t even mention – this is the budget for the elections of Delhi and Bihar.”

Rama Rao stressed the need to retreat, declaring: “If we don’t fight, the center will not listen to us. We will unite.” He recalled Telangana’s affection for the center’s past, including inviting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to launch the mission of Bhagiratha, but lamented: “Telangana has nothing to do.”

Rama Rao accused the Center of replicating Telangana’s flagship plans, such as Rythu Bandhu, for PM Kisan, Mission Kakatiya for Amrut Sarovar, Mission Bhagiratha, for Har Ghar Jal and TS-IPASS, to provide single-window clearance while failing to provide any benefit to the state. “They followed our model and accepted our tax revenues but gave us nothing in return,” he claimed.
