KTR urges PM to detect 10K CR scams at Kancha Lands

Hyderabad: BRS work chairman KT Rama Rao urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to order a quick investigation into the destruction of Kancha Gachibowli Forest and allegedly suspected of a Rs 1,000 crore financial scam. In X’s public appeal, he accused the congressionally-led state government of orchestrating huge fraud.

Rama Rao describes it as an environmental disaster and serious financial fraud. The BRS leaders claimed that the Telangana government mortgaged 400 acres of land (lack of legal ownership) and raised Rs 100 million through an intermediary to bypass environmental customs clearance and approval from the forest department. “It’s not just about the loss of biodiversity. It’s a 1,000 billion scam from the Congressional administration,” he said on average.

He claimed that the Supreme Court’s Central Authorization Commission (CEC) confirmed financial violations by central agencies and recommended investigations into the investigation. He said the BRS has submitted evidence to support these claims.

Rama Rao mentioned the Prime Minister’s remarks condemning deforestation in Haryana, urging Modi to speed up the investigation to prove his commitment to environmental protection and to eliminate views on the BJP-Congress collusion. “It’s time to show Telangana that BJP and Congress are not working together and that you really care about protecting the environment,” he said.

He also criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for his claim that Kancha Gachibowli has no wildlife, pointing to a report by the Registrar of the High Court of Telangamang, confirming that there are diverse faunas in the area.
