Comedian Kunal Kamra criticized the Bollywood Studios T series on Wednesday (March 26, 2025), claiming that his stand-up special “Naya Bharat” (Naya Bharat) has caused huge controversy over jokes against Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shind.
Mr. Kamra gave up a new video of the comedy special on Wednesday (26 March 2025), in which he performed a “Hawa Hawai” parody of “Mr. India” in a criticism of the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and his policies.

The song “Mr. India” featuring Anil Kapoor and late movie star Sridevi belongs to the T-Series tag.
Mr. Kamra shared a YouTube screenshot on X, which showed his new video “Naya Bharat” blocked due to copyright restrictions so that the audience couldn’t see. The video will also not be able to generate revenue due to copyright requirements.
“Hello @tseries, stop being a fool. Imitation and irony are used legally. I don’t use the original instrument of the lyrics or songs. If you put this video down, you can delete every cover/dance video. Make a note of it by the creator,” the 36-year-old comic said.
He added: “As said, every monopoly in India is more than just a mafia, so watch/download before it is deleted.

A T series spokesman said in a statement: “Mr. Kunal Kamra has not yet obtained any authorization or approval to use the basic musical work in this song, so the content has been blocked for infringement of the rights to the work.”
“Naya Bharat” also joked about recent political developments in Maharashtra, including the split between Shiv Sena and NCP, amassed over 6.7 million views on YouTube.
Since uploading the video on Sunday (March 23, 2025), Mr. Kamra has also received monetary donations from fans through YouTube’s “Super Thanks” feature, which allows creators to earn income and interact with audiences. Mr Kamra said he would not apologize for the comments in the video.
A official said police sent a second notice to Mr Kunal Kamra on Wednesday (26 March 2025) in connection with the case filed in Mumbai, allegedly derogatory remarks against Mr Sinder.
According to the official, in the notice, Mr. Kamla was asked to appear in the case filed by the Khar Police Station in the suburbs of Mumbai, a complaint filed by Shiv Sena Mla Murji Patel.
It is not clear when Mr. Kamra’s appearance was sought, as officials did not provide further details.

On Sunday evening (March 23, 2025), members of Shiv Sena damaged the habitat comedy club where Kamra performed, as well as the hotel held at the venue where the club is located.
Police also conducted cases against 40 workers of Shiv Sena, led by Shinder, to destroy the venue of the comedian’s show.
