Kunal Kamra criticizes T series after visibility of “Naya Bharat” video blocked on YouTube

Kamra shared a screenshot on YouTube on X that showed his new video, Naya Bharat, blocked due to copyright restrictions.
Comedian Kunal Kamra criticized the Bollywood Studios T series, claiming that his stand-up special “Naya Bharat” has sparked huge controversy against Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, which was marked as copyrighted on YouTube. Kamra abandoned the new video of the comedy special, in which he performed a parody of “Mr. India” by “Hawahawaii” in a bid to criticize the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and his policies. The song “Mr. India” featuring Anil Kapoor and late movie star Sridevi belongs to the T-Series tag.
Kamra shared a screenshot of YouTube on X, which shows his new video, Naya Bharat, which was blocked due to copyright restrictions, so the audience cannot see it. The video will also not be able to generate revenue due to copyright requirements. “Hello @tseries, stop being a fool. Imitation and irony are used legally. I don’t use the original instrument of the lyrics or songs. If you put this video down, you can delete every cover/dance video. Make a note of it by the creator,” the 36-year-old comic said. He added: “As said, every monopoly in India is more than just a mafia, so please watch/download before being deleted. FYI -t-series I stayed in Tamil Nadu (Sic) (sic).
Hello @tseriesdon’t be a stinky anymore.

What did the T series say
“Mr. Kunal Kamra has not yet obtained any authorization or approval to use the basic musical work in the song, so the content has been blocked for infringement of composition rights,” a T-series spokesman said in a statement. “Naya Bharat” also joked that recent political developments in Maharashtra, including the Shiv Sena and NCP split, have accumulated over 6.7 million views on YouTube.

Since uploading the video on Sunday, Kamra has also earned monetary donations from fans through YouTube’s “Super Thanks” feature, which allows creators to earn income and interact with audiences. On Sunday night, members of Shiv Sena damaged the habitat comedy club where Kamra performed, and the hotel at the venue where the club is located. Kamra said he would not apologize for the comments in the video.
