Kurnool City is in full swing to clean up operations

Kurnur: After six years of gap, the Kurnur Municipal Corporation (KMC) authorities have launched canal work across the city on a large scale. In addition to routine and special sanitation workers, more than 150 personnel were deployed to complete the task.
After Industry Minister TG Bharath directed municipal officials to review sanitation issues in cities and take necessary actions.
Waste is being removed from all major sewers in the city, with more than 15 special personnel assigned to each ward. For this purpose, a budget of Rs 106 crore has been allocated.
Years later, citizens are pleased to see the use of JCB to remove waste from Suddavagu. Similarly, the Handry River, which abandoned concrete debris and garbage, was almost cleaned up.
There is a proposal to build a Bund road from the Yellamma Temple near Raj Vihar to the Budhawarapet Bridge. The waste is alienated, including concrete debris from the city, is being used to pave the Bund Road. At the same time, the KC canal cleaning was also adopted.
Due to these long overdue efforts, rainwater from low-lying areas may be effectively discharged within hours after Saturday’s heavy rain. Residents of Kurnool expressed satisfaction with the ongoing static and sanitary works in New York City.
In this regard, KMC Commissioner S. Ravindra Babu called on citizens to hand over their household waste to municipal collection vehicles instead of pouring them into the sewer. He also warned people not to build anything permanent on the city’s canals.
The commissioner told people that if garbage is not collected from home, they can call 74229 92299 to file a complaint.
Kurnool Pragathi Samiti founder M. Sri Harsha praised the ongoing stupid work, while raising concerns about the safety of health workers. He noted that workers lack proper protective equipment and must provide gloves, boots and special clothing.
Without such protection, workers may be infected with skin, respiratory diseases and other diseases, such as hepatitis B, he said.
Sri Harsha asked company officials to provide the necessary protective equipment to sanitary workers immediately.
