Goddess decorating on Rajarajeshwari Alankaram in Srisailam

Kurnur: On the occasion of Ugadi Mahotsavam, a special puja meeting was held for Sri Swamy and Ammavaru on Sunday. The ceremony begins with Chandeeswara Puja, Mandapa Aradhana, Japanushtanam and Rudra Homam in Swamyvari Yagashala. Meanwhile, Chandi Homam was held in the morning at Ammavari Yagashala, followed by the special Kumkumarchana and Navavaranarchana as part of the festival.
Pujas and Japanushtanam at night start at 5.30 pm. Later, Sri Swamy and Ammavaru’s big Rathotsavam followed the traditions of Rathang Puja, Rathang Homam and Rathang Bali. The gods were imposed on the chariot and then pulled it into a large parade.
On this occasion, Rathotsavam is decorated with exquisite floral decorations and displays a variety of traditional art forms during Gramotsavam. As part of the Ugadi celebration, special prayers were also provided to the goddess Utsava Murthy, who was decorated in the Divine Ramavani Sevitha Rajarajashwari Alankaram. This form of four-armed goddess occupies Pasham, Ankusham, lotus and sugar cane, symbolizing divine power and grace.
