Robert Vadra asks for the third consecutive day

Vadra, who was questioned for nearly seven and six hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, told reporters after Thursday’s meeting that the agency asked him “no new questions” and only repeated the old questions. Sources told ET that the agency is now identifying the property acquired as “crime proceeds” which may include assets related to Vadra. ED is expected to end the investigation within two months and file a complaint (equivalent to the charges) to initiate the trial process.
Officials said new investment from the Haryana Police Department recently prompted the Emergency Department to call Vadra again. According to the agency, the then-led state government ignored key flaws while granting Vadra’s guarantees that housing projects were allowed to be developed.
In February 2008, Skylight Hospitality launched by Vadra in 2007 purchased about 3.5 acres from Manesar-Shikohpur, Onkareshwar Properties for Rs 750 crore. The next day, the plot was mutated, supporting the skylight, and the title of the land was reportedly transferred to Vadra within 24 hours of purchase.
