“The Enforcement Authority (ED) has arrested former Haryana Congress MLA Dharam Singh Chhoker “invaded” the former Haryana Congress,” an official source said on Monday (May 5, 2025).
It is understood that the former judge, 61, was detained at a hotel in Delhi on Sunday (May 4, 2022). Chhoker is the former MLA of the Samalkha Conference seats in Panipat District. Last year, after his party once again gave him a competitive ticket from the same seat, he lost the Haryana parliament poll.
Mr Chhoker, his sons Vikas Chhoker (absconded) and Sikandar Chhoker face allegations of “cheating” over 1,500 home buyers and have drawn more than Rs 5,000 crore from them. Sikandar was arrested by ED last year and he is currently on bail.
“The Special Preventive Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court has issued several warrants of non-bailable arrest against Dharam Singh Chhoker and Vikas Chhoker. The agency has issued an announcement against them and directed them to appear in court on May 19,” ED said in March.
The money laundering case stems from the Gurugram police station filed against Sai Aaina Farms and Issoid.
