Left-wing groups reject allegations of government interference in KTU

Left-leaning groups dismissed the government’s allegations of government intervention against APJ Abdul Kalam Technology University (KTU), which is in fact incorrect and misleading.

The controversy revolves around the government’s investigation into the alleged refusal to attend a doctorate to former members of the university’s joint organization. Although various parties claim that the investigation was initiated under the provisions of the University (Amendment) Act, which has not yet become law, the federal and all Kerala Private School Teachers Association of Teachers insists that the investigation is based on the 2015 APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Act.

Under Section 9(2) of the Act, if the state government receives a complaint about a violation of university regulations, it is legally entitled to initiate an inquiry. These organizations have no appeal power in this regard, and the Prime Minister (Governor) clearly outlines the power of appeal in the legislation.

Manufactured documents

They added that the state government appointed another secretary to investigate a complaint that the alleged fabricated documents were used to deny members of the pre-enterprise group. Contrary to the report, the governor’s office did not interfere in the investigation.

In addition, several group members and statutory officials have filed complaints with cyber police, allegedly fake letters from the vice principal’s office. Some of these complaints are currently under active investigation and are working to track down those responsible for forging documents.
