Jay Shah, President of the International Cricket Committee (ICC), recently met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino at the 144th IOC Conference in Costa Navarino, Greece.
Mr. Infantino, who is in charge of the global governing body of Football World, posted information about the meeting on Instagram.
“I am very happy to meet the ICC Chairman and an excellent administrator Jay Shah! Visited India, including during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, and I know the incredible passion that people there bring to the cricket people and the excellent work Jay Shah has done to further develop the game,” Mr Intantino wrote.
He added: “I hope you will be well in your mission and look forward to working together and working together to make cricket more global.”
In January, former BCCI secretary Mr. Shah met with outgoing IOC President Thomas Bach in Lausanne, Switzerland, to discuss key initiatives for cricket at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles and beyond, focusing on collaboration and promoting Olympic value.
Kirsty Coventry will succeed Bach, whose 12-year term will officially end on June 23, 2025.
