Liberals win Wisconsin Supreme Court election to thwart Trump, Musk

Wisconsin voters elected Susan Crawford to the state Supreme Court on Tuesday, CNN and NBC predicted to maintain a 4-3 liberal majority in the court to set off Donald Trump and his billionaire ally Ally Elon Musk, who backed her conservative rival.
The election is widely regarded as an early referendum on President Trump’s presidency. According to a count from the Brennan University Center at NYU, the sport can easily become the most expensive judicial contest in U.S. history, with candidates, state parties and external groups spending more than $90 million.
County Judge Crawford defeated conservative Brad Schimel, a former Republican state attorney general and county judge.
