Indian grocery stores illuminate the rising trend of non-communicable diseases in India

Let’s look at some sober facts: India has the largest number of diabetes patients, with an estimated 212 million cases in 2022.

According to the World Health Organization, an estimated 77 million people in India over the age of 18 have diabetes (type 2) and nearly 25 million are prediabetes (the risk of diabetes is higher in the near future). This is probably the biggest part of the NCD school. Apart from that, the number of people suffering from hypertension, stroke, cancer, cardiovascular disease and chronic lung disease is indeed shocking.

NCD occurs due to a combination of multiple factors (mainly changing lifestyle, environmental factors and genetics) and in part of the country has grown to a huge proportion. Therefore, messaging is that interventions must be immediately effective in initiating treatment and prevention strategies.

A conversation Hindu Huddle will be held in Bangalore from May 9-10, titled “Non-District Diseases: Trojan Horses for Indian Health”, attempting to discuss multiple dimensions of the NCD “epidemic” in India and assess strategies that can be deployed through the public and private health sectors to ensure treatment for all and all of these health services are accessible to all of these diseases, and that all of these aspects and all of them can be made accessible to all of them. On the panel are three major experts from India who stand everywhere in the care paradigm. They will share real-time experiences and provide solutions to the direction they are moving forward.

Preetha Reddy, executive vice chairman of Apollo Hospital, has the head of cutting-edge private care in the country, while Anoop Mishra, chairman of Fortis C-DOC diabetes and related science, brought table research in the experience of interacting with intimate patients. Chandrakanth Lahariya wears many hats but will keenly watch the country's health system and the attendance of the striking policy advisers.

The meeting will be chaired by Ramya Kannan, Health Editor and Director of Tamil Nadu Hindu.
