Lord Balaji's celestial wedding begins in Tirumala

tirupati: The annual Sri Padmavathi Parinayotsavam, marking Lord Venkateswara's celestial wedding, his sacred spouses Sri Devi and Bhu Devi posted a big note on the Dasavatara Astalakshmi Mandapam of Narayanagiri Gardens on Tuesday.
Thousands of devotees packed with beautifully decorated venues and witnessed a three-day activity of spiritual prosperity. The celebration began with the parade deities of Lord Malayappa Swamy, who were taken to the gaja vahanam, followed by his spouses Sri Devi and Bhu Devi, paired with separate palanquins, decorated with dazzling nightly jewelry.
Traditional Hindu wedding rituals, including Edurkolu and Poobantata, were performed in a sacred atmosphere. Mandapam is decorated with nearly a ton of fruit, two tons of traditional flowers and 30,000 flowers. More than 150 garden staff and 50 electrical staff worked tirelessly to create a vibrant setting.
In addition to the spiritual atmosphere, there are Vedic chants of chaturvedas and classical instrumental music in Ragas such as Malahari, Neelambari, Kadana Kutuhala, Varahi and Desika.
