LSG’s Digvesh Rathi is fined again

Lucknow: Lucknow Super Giants Captain Rishabh Pant fined Rs 12 lakh in 12 wins against the Mumbai Indians in Saturday’s IPL match to maintain a slow super result.

The bowling team had a prescribed time of 90 minutes to complete 20 points, and Pant’s LSG was insufficient after Game 19, so they were forced to leave a fielder out of the lap with less than 30 yards.

“Since this is his team’s first offense this season, Rishabh Pant was fined INR 1.2 million, according to Article 2.22 of the IPL Code of Conduct,” the BCCI press release said.

Meanwhile, LSG’s ace Digvesh Rathi was fined 50% of his game costs for the second consecutive time after violating the IPL-level code of conduct.

Rathi was also docked for half the game costs for the top ticket checking celebrations against the Punjab Kings.

On Friday, it was muted, but he again held a notebook tick celebration after firing Mi’s Naman Dheer.

“This is his second-level offense for Article 2.5 of the season, so he has accumulated two points in addition to one he has accumulated in LSG’s match against the Punjab Kings on April 1, 2025,” the release said.
