School Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa responded to many complaints filed by the public in the Janaspandana program held by Shivamogga Regional Government on Monday.

The complaints include a request for sanctions against Borewells for agricultural purposes, a call to correct the ration card, in which the old woman’s name was wrongly removed, power issues, delays in land granting, and release of pensions aimed at physical challenges.

Parvathamma, 80, a Malavalli resident of Hosanagar Taluk, complained to the minister that her name had been removed from the ration card, citing her death. She was deprived of food and other benefits. The Minister wants to know how to delete the name without verifying the facts. He ordered officers to correct mistakes and ensure that women receive benefits. He also directed officers to take action against the officers responsible for the error.

Ganapathi B. of Talagadde Village complained that the government approved him, Borewell, under the 2023 Ganga Kalyana plan. However, so far, it has not been drilled yet. Ranganath, a resident of the town of Hosanagara, complained about the power outage in Ward 6 of the town.

Teekappa Yoga Nayak of Kerekoppa said his family had cultivated a piece of land in the village’s investigation No. 79 since his grandfather’s time. However, he did not get the land. He urged the minister to grant it to his family. Srinivas, also from Kerekoppa, said he lost a hand after falling from the roof of the house a few years ago. Since he can’t work properly, he hopes the government will approve pensions for physical challenges.

Mr. Madhu Bangarappa, the minister who is also responsible for the region, accepted the complaint and referred it to the relevant personnel. He instructed officers to resolve the complaint as soon as possible.

He said such public meetings would help find solutions to many problems facing the public. He said the government will hold similar meetings in all Talux.
