Madhura

Shanghai: Madhura Dhamangaonkar ended her dream comeback event with a stunning 139-138 defeat of Carson Krahe of the United States, winning the World Cup gold medal in her Virginity match at the Archery World Cup Stage 2 on Saturday.

Madhura, who was not in the international level in the world archery rankings, was behind 81-85 after seven expensive 7 in the third innings.

But the 24-year-old showed significant calm under pressure, down just one point on the nearly squat-free fourth end with a score of 110-ALL.

In the Decider, she holds the nerve in two perfect 10 seconds (both X arrows are closer to the center) and takes exciting end points.

It was Madhura’s third event, which had won silver in the women’s team competition earlier and bronze in the compound hybrid event next to Abhishek Verma, which was back to international archery three years later.
