Justice J. Sathya Narayana Prasad
Justice J. Sathya Narayana Prasad of the Madras High Court passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 in Chennai. Of the current working strength of 63 judges in the High Court, he is 56 years old, at the 42nd year old.
Sources said he complained about uneasiness at his official residence in Chennai on Tuesday night and was taken to a private hospital in the city before breathing the last one.
He is Minnal Village near Arakkonam, North Arcot (currently Vellore) area, and was born in Thanjavur on March 15, 1969. His father, R. Jaiprasad, was a retired district and conference judge.
Judge Prasad studied at Vorhees High School in Velor and then graduated from Loyola College in Chennai. He received his Master of History and Law from the University of Delhi.
He was selected as an advocate in 1997 and worked under the leadership of A. Ilango advocates. Until 2000. After starting his independent practice, he served as a permanent consultant to Chennai Port Trust, Coimbatore Municipal Corporation, India and many other organizations.
He was appointed as a judge in the Madras High Court in 2021.
