Maharashtra Board of Directors announced grades 12; 91.88% of students passed the exam, girls surpassed boys

The Maharashtra State High School and High School Education Commission (MSBSHSE) announced the High School Certificate (HSC) or Level 12 results on Monday (May 5, 2025), with 91.88% of students passing the exam.
According to board chairman Sharad Gosavi, the girl once again beats the boys, with the boys passing percentage at 94.58, while the percentage of boys is 89.51%.
He said a total of 14,27,085 students were registered for the exam held in March, of which 14,17,969 showed up and passed 13,02,873.

The Konkan division was on top with a pass percentage of 96.74, followed by Kolhapur 93.64%, Mumbai 92.93%, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar 92.24%, Amravati 91.43%, Pune 91.32%, Nashik 91.31%, Nagpur 90.52% and Latur 89.46%.
Mr Gosavi said the percentage of passes for Science Stream was 97.35, while 92.68% of students from business, 83.26% of careers and 80.52% of art processes passed the exam.
