Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge claimed on Wednesday (April 9, 2025) that the BJP won a poll in the Maharashtra Parliament through “never fraud”.

At the AICC meeting in Ahmedabad, Mr. Harge also accused the Modi government of “selling” government assets in order to benefit nepotism capitalists and slowly complete democracy.

“The world has been transforming from EVMS to voting paper, but we are using EVM. It’s all fraud. They ask us to prove it. You have designed the technology that benefits the ruling party and put the opposition at a disadvantage,” Harger said.

But, in his inaugural address at a meeting on both sides of the Sabamati River, he said that young people in the country will rise, “say we want to vote paper.”

The president of Congress said: “What happened in Maharashtra. We raised this question everywhere and Rahul Gandhi strongly raised it. What kind of voter list they put out… Maharashtra elections are fraudulent. The same thing happened in Haryana.”

Mr Hager noted that the BJP won 90 per cent of the seats and said that this never happened.

“There has never been a fraud like the Maharashtra poll, aimed at undermining democracy,” he accused.

“We’ll find it. The thief is always caught. Our lawyers and leaders are working on it. We’re trying.”

Mr Hager said that the ruling party has been attacking the constitution for the past 11 years. “Constitutional institutions and principles are under attack and we must fight to protect them,” Harj said.

He claimed that the government held a budget meeting of parliament based on their whims and fantasies.

“The spokesperson was named after Oposition, but did not let him speak. It is shameful in a democracy. How would you get people to raise their voices if you don’t allow Lop to speak.”

Haarge, in a clear reference to the debate on the WAQF (Amendment) bill, said the government did not debate the people’s issues until late at night on its public polarization agenda.

He noted that the debate on Manipur was held at 4 a.m. and he asked for the next day, but the government disagreed, Harg said, claiming that the government seemed to want to hide something.

“Democracy is being completed slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly,” he claimed.

He said the opposition was not allowed to raise the issue of tariffs on the United States in parliament, saying monopolies are being established and resources are handed over to several Croni’s capitalists.

Mr. Hager also claims that SC, ST and OBC remain completed through privatization. “If this continues, the Modi government and Modi will sell the entire country,” he said.

Mr. Hager accused BJP-RSS of making 500-year-old problems aroused fan communism. The RSS chief asked its people not to look for “Shivlings” under the mosque, but they continued to do so and split people.

He claimed: “Prime Minister Modi opened fire and the RSS people added fuel to this.”

He also slammed the BJP’s “anti-Dalt mentality” after its leader scattered the Ganga Water on a ram temple in Alwar in Rajasthan to “purify” it after Congress’ Tikaram Jully attended the dedication ceremony there.

He also made a strong contribution to the nationwide caste census and claimed that Prime Minister Modi used OBC status for political gains, but did not take any measures to seek benefits.

The president of Congress also slams the government’s increase in excise tax on gasoline and diesel and hikes the prices of liquefied petroleum cylinders.

Earlier, Congress passed a condolence resolution in homage to the MPs who died after the February 2023 Reibull meeting.

The party pays tribute to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who died in December last year.

Congress will hold an AICC meeting at Sabarmati River Bank on Wednesday, during which the party will present its social, political and economic perspectives through at least two resolutions. Ahmedabad Conference, Topic “Nyaypath: Sankalp, Samarpan Aur Sangharsh,” More than 1,700 elected and elected AICC members attended the meeting.

This is the second day after an extended Congressional Working Committee (CWC) meets to finalize the agenda and discuss the resolution to be adopted.

Congress on Tuesday expressed his claims to the legacy of India’s first deputy prime minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who promised to follow a “ideological war” with the BJP-RSS, when a loud campaign against the BJP was cited by nationalist figures in support of the rally.
