Make teaching methods simple and make students interested in Kannada: bilimale

Shivamogga

Kannada State Development Bureau Chairman Purushothama Bilimale said Kannada teachers need to develop skills to match contemporary requirements.

On Friday, he was at the opening ceremony of the Kannada textbook workshop organized by Professor Kannada Forum, held last Friday at the Kuvenmpu University Degree College in Shivamogga.

Mr. Bilimar said that in fact, the Kannada teaching model has been around for more than 50 years. It is necessary to simply make students interested in this language.

“There is no need to emphasize every concept of Kannada grammar to teach the language. Within a few days, outsiders can be taught to follow Kannada and speak. Letters can also be taught in a few days. In addition, nouns, pronouns, pronouns and sentences composed by the learner should also be constructed into sentences.

Mr. Bilimalay expressed disappointment with the lack of scholarships for teachers, saying many people are hardly concerned with improving their skills or enhancing their knowledge. “The sad truth is that many teachers are more interested in investing in real estate or buying cars than they are more interested in research or research. Many people don’t even buy newspapers or books,” he said.

The chairman refers to the vacancy at the university when he has asked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to fill the vacancy. In response to his appeal, he said Mr. Siddaramaiah wanted to know what the recruitment was.

“The Chief Minister said that students who exited college did not find jobs in the competitive world. Teachers did not make our children available for employment. This is a serious concern. We need to teach the skills in our students to find their jobs.”

Kuvempu University Vice President Sharath Ananthamurthy believes that the humanities and social sciences departments at state universities have collapsed without a process of learning or knowledge creation.

“Funding and grants for humanities and social science research have dropped dramatically,” he said.

Sabita Bannadi, President of Kannada Teachers Forum, Vice President Kumsi Umesh, Secretary Sm Muttaiah, President of ATNCC College Mamatha PR and others attended the program.
