“We are the only guardian of the ocean…”: Yunus of Bangladesh invites China to arrive. Indian News

Muhammad Yunus, chief adviser to the Bangladesh interim government, is on a four-day visit to China, urging Beijing to make part of Bangladesh’s ocean-facing part of its expansion of China’s economy. In the video circulated on social media, Yunus urged the Chinese government to build its economic base in the country, while saying Dhaka is the only marine guardian in the region.
“The seven states of India, seven sisters in eastern India, are landlocked countries. They have no access to the ocean. We are the only guardians of the ocean in the region. This provides huge possibilities for the expansion of China’s economy. This could be an extension of the Chinese economy – building, agricultural products and markets, bringing it back to China, and bringing it to China to the world,” Yunus said. ”

Yunus also earlier said that it is important for Bangladesh to regard China as a good friend. Yunus wraps up the visit, and he expects a new phase of connection between China and Bangladesh.
Yunsu, who also met with Chinese President Xi Jinping during the visit, urged China to increase investment to restore Bangladesh’s flag economy. Yunus also asked China to provide a 50-year master plan for river and flood management in Bangladesh.
The move could bring further tension to India. The security and sovereignty of the Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean regions over India is strategically important, and any Chinese existence may pose a threat to India. Yunus’ request for a visit to India and meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi is still being held with New Delhi.
