Male doctor dies of suicide

Hyderabad:Bachupally police said on Saturday that Mehraj Aslam, 25, in West Bengal, committed suicide in a hospital where he worked. Police suspect he may have used multiple anesthetics.

According to Bachupally Inspector J. Upender Rao, Aslam moved to the city to find a job, a male nurse from the hospital was transferred.

The family and colleagues of the deceased said Aslam took extreme measures as the hospital reported financial difficulties that failed to pay employees.

Police said a hospital staff member found Aslan with an “anthocyanate injection”. After informing the police, the case was registered and the body was transferred to the Gandhi Mortuary for an autopsy.

“We suspect he anesthetized himself, but we are waiting for a forensic report to confirm the substance. We have now registered for the suspected death case but are investigating the allegations against the hospital.”

Vijayashanti’s husband receives a threatening call

Hyderabad:M. Srinivasa Prasad, husband of Congress MLC Moturi Vijayashanti, filed a complaint with Banjara Hills police, saying he had been receiving threatening calls and messages. Prasad reportedly said in his complaint that he suspected that Chandrakiran Reddy, a former social media handler, sent a threatening message on April 6.

In the complaint, Prasad said Chandrakiran Reddy posted a message saying that if his dues were not paid, they would be enemies.

Vijayshanti and her husband reportedly met a senior policeman after filing a complaint and seeking action against Chandrakiran Reddy. “According to the complaint, we have registered a case and are collecting technical evidence. Action will be taken under the law,” a police officer said.
