Mamata Banerjee asks West Bengal Governor Bose to postpone Murshidabad visit; he refuses to appeal

Kolkata: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Thursday called on Governor CV Ananda Bose to wait a few more days before going to Murshidabad as confidence-building measures are underway and peace is being restored in the region.

Banerjee said she also decided not to go to Murshidabad now.

Bose refuses to appeal

Bose earlier said he would visit Murshidabad. “I’ve been to Delhi. I’m not sharing other details. I’m going to the field and doing my own reality check. After talking to all parts of society, I’m going to share more details.” “These families come to see me. They express their fear, and that’s real.”

Banerjee said she also asked the state board of women not to visit the area at this time.

Bose later said CM’s request was taken seriously, but he would “visit the field.”
