Pakistan Air Force plane crashes in Punjab Pakistan

An air force plane crashed in Punjab province, Pakistan, a government official said here on Wednesday. Pakistan Air Force (PAF) training aircraft Mirage v Rose crashed on Tuesday in the Ratta Tibba land battle race in the outskirts of Vehari district about 350 kilometers southwest of Lahore.

The official said the two pilots were still not injured when they managed to eject themselves. However, local media said the two were transferred to a nearby Army hospital.

“The plane took off from Thingi Airport near Vehicle City on a daily training flight, but shortly after the crash near the oil plant, no casualties or any damage was made in any building,” the official said.
Witnesses said they heard the explosion of an explosion and then smoked in the wild. Rescue 1122, military and police personnel and rescue personnel arrived at the scene.

Dawn reported that both pilots suffered minor injuries and were transferred to hospital in Army helicopters. “The PAF aircraft is on a training flight but crashed due to some technical failure,” it said.

The Mirage V Rose is an upgraded version of the French Mirage 5, a fighter jet that has been serving with the Pakistan Air Force since the 1970s. The transformation of the Strike Element (Rose) program has enhanced its avionics and radar, improving its accuracy and combat capabilities. Despite its age, it remains a key part of the PAF fleet.
