A 28-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday on a truck parked on the Chennai-Bengaluru National Highway in the village of Valluvambakkam near Varaja on Tuesday.
Police said they arrested Sandeep Yadav from Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, a special team has been formed to deduct his two accomplices. The gang caught about 700 litres of diesel, 25 barrels, 20 barrels and a mini shop.
The question shows that truck owner C. Bharathiraja, 36, noticed that the diesel was stolen while monitoring CCTV footage inside the truck.
After a while, the mini-pass behind his car left the scene. He and his friends chased the vehicle and turned around near Carterpaddy.
