An accident in Sadashivanagar claimed the life of a 21-year-old man earlier on Monday. At the time of the accident, the victim was believed to be Vijay Madiki from Assam.
Vijay and his friend Suhail are both employees of a store and are on their way home after buying new clothes for Id-ul-fitr. Suhail drives a bicycle. The lid that saved the new clothes was entangled in the bike handle, causing him to lose control. Police said Vijay fell and succumbed to injuries on the spot, while Suhail was seriously injured and was taken to Ramaiah Hospital, whose condition remains crucial.
The two have been living in a rental house in Sadashivanaga. The traffic police in Sadashivanagar have registered the case. Initial investigations showed that neither of them wore helmets.
