A 62-year-old man was sentenced to 110 years in strict jail for abusing a six-year-old girl on Monday in the Fast Track Special Tribunal for Protecting Children from Sexual Crimes (POCSO) Act (POCSO).
The court also fined the offender Rs 6 lakh, identified as Remanan of Pollethai near Malari Kulam. According to the prosecution, the child was harassed by Remanan for three years until 2021.
The court found him guilty on various charges and sentenced him to five to twenty years. Sentences should be conducted simultaneously.
