Karimnagar: Rajanna Sircilla area police arrested Dasari Murali (45) on Monday, the main defendant arrested for a cyber Vlad racket of Rs 4.5 lakh, prompting 38 complaints about the national cybercrime reporting portal.
SP Mahesh B. Geete District told reporters that Murali is a former fast food restaurant operator in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra – leading a gang with colleagues Vilesh Patel, Chirag Ramesh Petad, Jitendra Somabhai and Nilesh Jai Singh. In the posture of high-profile clients, they place online trading centers in routing funds through their controlled accounts and then share the gains. Local business owners in Vemulawada and Sircilla are among the fraudsters.
The town police in Vemulawada formed a special team and arrested four accomplices, and Murali was still running. Technical surveillance will officers travel to Colutla on Monday and be detained. The surgery was performed by Veerprasad, Si Ramesh, network teams RSI Junaid and Constables Imran and Shamee. Cases under relevant cybercrime and fraud regulations have been registered.
