Manipur pays tribute to CRPF officers who were killed by lightning during anti-Maoist operation in Jharkhand

The deadly remains of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) official Singh (46) arrived at Bill Tikendragit International Airport on Saturday afternoon.
Kuldiep Singh, a security adviser to the Manipur government, served as director-general of the CRPF, as well as senior officials, lawmakers and family, paid tribute to the killed officials at a wreath ceremony held at the airport.
From the airport, the body of the mortal was taken to his home in Sekmai, Iphar West District, where the final ceremony of the Brave Heart was carried out with all his might.
CRPF Manipur and Nagaland department R. Duidang said Singh laid his life within his responsibilities after being lightning-striking in an anti-Mossist operation carried out by the 26th armed battalion.
“Maharabam Prabo Singh joined the Central Paramilitary Force in 2006. He is a serious and efficient officer. The CRPF will never forget his sacrifice.” Dig told Media during an anti-MAOIST operation on May 15. “The CRPF provides a heartfelt tribute to the brave officer in this unfortunate situation.
This is the first lightning-related death for commanders and officials in the Maoist invasion zone.
The three injured were identified as West Bengal’s Assistant Commander Kumar Mandal and Assistant Deputy Inspector (ASI) Chandlal Hansda and Suresh Bhagat, both Jharkhand police, both natives.
The injured are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
