Hyderabad: Former CEO sells Rs 1 crore property to fund her cocaine addiction

Police say addiction reaches extreme
“She abused cocaine multiple times a day, usually as many as 10 times in 24 hours. In fact, due to addiction, she woke up every two or three hours at night.” Officials also revealed that the 34-year-old also took sleeping pills in addition to cocaine.
The family warned earlier that police recommended cancellation of the addition
Police said they visited the doctor’s home about 20 days before their arrest on May 9. They told the family that she was under police surveillance and suggested they send her to a center that stands out. “However, she misbehaved with the police and even quarreled with them,” the source added.
After delivery from Mumbai, the courier was arrested
On the day of his arrest, the doctor went to a courier, Balakrishna Rampyar Ram, who traveled from Mumbai to deliver cocaine. One police officer said: “She didn’t know she was still under police surveillance. The police suspected she would commit the crime again and continued to monitor. When she met Balakrishna and paid Rs 5 lakh for drugs, the police tracked her movements.
Money Trail leads to DJs and drug suppliers in Mumbai
According to police, Balakrishna returned to Mumbai with the money and handed it over to Vansh Thakkar, who is considered the main drug supplier. “The couriers took the medication from Thakkar and took it back to Hyderabad and handed it over to the doctor. This was when they were arrested,” officials said.
Messenger suspicious of wider drug links
Investigators say Thakkar has been regularly supplying drugs to the former CEO and she may have met him during the party. Thakkar has not been arrested yet. “Barakrishna went to Hyderabad at least 10 times last month. This has raised suspicion and he also provided drugs to other consumers. He was a show worker and later worked in drugs,” the source said.
Police check WhatsApp chat despite privacy settings
Police resumed several conversations between her and Thakkar despite the doctor’s disappearance on WhatsApp. One of the chats wrote: “The last time was 57? 8 left in total, and this time there were 5 left, so there were 3 left.” Police said they tried to decode the messages and found more similar exchanges.
